Exoneree William Michael Dillon Launches Music Career
“Black Robes and Lawyers,”
’s first single from his forthcoming album of the same name, will be available for download on iTunes starting today. Last week, he was featured on the Today Show where Ann Curry compared him to the legendary Johnny Cash.
“I’m very blessed. It’s beyond anything anybody can really imagine. I mean, the joy of seeing the fruit of something that you never thought was ever going to happen,” Dillon told the Today Show.
Dillon was wrongfully imprisoned for 27 years in Florida before DNA testing proved his innocence in 2008 with the help of the Innocence Project of Florida. Dillon also performed with a band of exoneree musicians at the Innocence Project’s Fifth Annual Gala earlier in May.
